(VOVworld) - Vietnamese Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN) Nguyen Phuong Nga said Vietnam’s policies are always centered on people.
Speaking at the World Humanitarian Summit in Istanbul, Turkey, over the past 2 days, Ms. Nga said Vietnam is keenly aware of the importance of enhancing national capacity and of people’s participation in dealing with humanitarian challenges and building a peaceful and prosperous society. Vietnam has pledged to fulfill its obligations under its international commitments and work with global and regional partners to mitigate natural disasters.

The two-day Summit gathered more than 50 State leaders and other officials from 173 countries and thousands of representatives from international financial organizations, NGOs and businesses.
