Ambassador Nguyen Trung Thanh, Head of the Vietnamese delegation to the Geneva-based United Nations, said this seminar will review the 10-year implementation of a UN resolution on human rights education and provide a venue to share experience and seek a sustainable solution to end human smuggling.
The seminar was co-hosted by Vietnam in conjunction with the Philippines, Indonesia, China, the US, Costa Rica, Australia, Germany, and the World Migration Organization (WMO) on the sideline of the 33rd session of the UN Human Rights Council. The event attracted 80 delegates from 29 countries and nongovernmental organizations.
