(VOVworld)-  The leader of the Cambodia opposition forces, Sam Rainsy, called a halt to protest marches in the capital city of Phnom Penh between December 30 and January 4. The purpose of this pause is to give a break to supporters and give Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) a chance to meet with CNRP officials. Speaking to his supporters, Rainsy, said protest marches will be paused through next Saturday. However, demonstrations at Cambodia’s Democracy Park will still be held each afternoon.  Rainsy’s decision will be welcome to the majority of people in Phnom Penh, whose lives have been disrupted by the protests.
