At a reception for visiting President of the Senate of the Czech Republic’s Parliament Milos Vystrcil, the Vietnamese Party leader said as the two countries share many similarities and converging interests, they should enhance closer coordination at international organizations and multilateral forums, and stronger cooperation in trade, investment, defense, security, science, technology, education, training, culture, and tourism.
He proposed strengthening exchanges of delegations at all levels and across Party, State, parliamentary and local cooperation channels, as well as promoting people-to-people exchanges.
Senate President Vystrčil agreed with these directions and pledged to working closely with the Vietnamese National Assembly to support the two governments and localities in advancing the traditional friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation.
He added that the Senate is ready to advocate for the remaining EU member states to soon ratify the EU–Viet Nam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA).
