At a working session with the Ministry of Health on Friday, she called for continued efforts to address shortages of essential medicines and medical supplies, promote the socialization of healthcare services, accelerate digital transformation, and develop electronic medical records. Greater attention should also be paid to the health economy and medical tourism, she said.
Deputy PM Tra emphasized the need to promptly implement special mechanisms and policies to safeguard public health, while prioritizing investment in grassroots healthcare.
“This includes strengthening infrastructure, developing human resources and upgrading medical equipment to remove bottlenecks and ensure essential services at commune-level health facilities, aiming to lay a solid foundation for primary healthcare development within the year,” she said.
