PM Pham Minh Chinh speaks at the FIATA World Congress 2025.

He made the remarks at the 2025 World Congress of the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA), held in Hanoi on Wednesday.

Mr. Chinh stressed that logistics serves as the “lifeblood” of the global economy, connecting production, circulation, distribution, and consumption.

With its strategic location along major international maritime and aviation routes, more than 3,200 kilometers of coastline, and a vast network of seaports, airports, and border gates, Vietnam has identified logistics as one of its three key growth drivers and a foundation for linking industries, regions, and the country with the wider world.

It is crucial to enhance cooperation in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation in logistics; promote rapid, green, and sustainable logistics development; and strengthen cooperation in high-quality human resource training and the building of smart, interconnected logistics centers, said PM Chinh.

He noted that efforts should also be made to connect national logistics hubs with one another and with the global network, while improving multimodal connectivity across air, sea, river, rail, and road transport systems.

This is the first time Vietnam has hosted a FIATA World Congress. The 2025 event gathered 1,200 delegates from 150 countries and territories.
