At the Government’s meeting on Tuesday to review socio-economic performance in the first four months of the year and outline key solutions ahead, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of perseverance, consistency, flexibility, proactiveness, and innovation in leadership and governance. He also emphasized the need to address the impact of the US’s reciprocal tariffs.

PM Chinh stressed the need to focus on negotiations with the US. "This is a critical task. Negotiations must safeguard Vietnam’s legitimate rights and interests while honoring our international commitments, and ensuring that businesses and citizens feel secure in their production and investment activities,” he said.

The Prime Minister called for accelerated administrative reform and streamlining of the state apparatus, with specific targets to cut administrative processing time and business costs by 30%, and remove at least 30% of outdated business conditions.

He urged faster implementation of more than 2,200 public investment projects and the promotion of new growth drivers, including science and technology, digital transformation, and innovation.
