(VOVworld)- On Friday, a delegation of the Vietnam Women's Union led by its Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Tuyet worked with the Electoral Council of Tay Ninh province. Speaking at the meeting, Ms Tuyet praised the local preparations for the upcoming elections. She stressed the need to ensure at least 35% of candidates nominated for the People's Councils are female.
The same day, Vice Chairperson of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Thanh inspected the preparations for the upcoming election of the 14th National Assembly and People's Councils in Binh Thuan province. So far, agencies and organizations have closely and strictly followed legal procedures in nominating candidates for the election.
