The first turbine was connected to the national grid in August, while the second is expected to begin generating power next month. The 350 million USD project is scheduled to be fully operational by the end of this year.
Located adjacent to the existing Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant, the expansion project is of national significance, comprised of two additional turbines with a total capacity of 480 MW.
