Russia has never abandoned this wish, said Putin, responding to a question about the possibility of Russia and the United States normalizing their relations.
If Russian sees that the situation changes in a way that there are opportunities and prospects for building relations with other countries, then it is ready for that, he said.
“It’s not a question of us, it’s a question of them. But it must be without detriment to interests of the Russian Federation," Putin emphasized.
