Analysts believe Vietnam is effectively leveraging international cooperation frameworks to support national development goals.

Observers note that Vietnam’s geopolitical role is evolving, with two key priorities of sustaining economic growth and strengthening national defense and security.

Le Hong Hiep, Senior Fellow and Coordinator of the Vietnam Studies Program at the ISEAS–Yusof Ishak Institute, noted that Vietnam could play a more proactive role in the future if it maintains strong economic development and expands its resource base.

Sharing this view, Lye Liang Fook, also a Senior Fellow at ISEAS–Yusof Ishak, emphasized that amid global challenges, Vietnam needs to seek new market opportunities and deepen cooperation with key partners to sustain growth and stability.

Singapore-based analysts added that Vietnam’s broader participation in global activities would help enhance its international image, demonstrating its readiness to contribute to global peace efforts. Vietnam’s involvement in United Nations peacekeeping missions in Africa over the past decade is a clear example, reflecting its willingness to take on greater global responsibilities.

They also emphasized that amid global challenges, Vietnam needs to explore new markets and deepen cooperation with key partners. Broader global engagement, including participation in UN peacekeeping missions in Africa, is seen as enhancing Vietnam’s international image and demonstrating its readiness to assume greater global responsibilities.
