Notably, agro-forestry-aquatic exports are estimated at 62.5 billion USD, including 7.2 billion USD from fruits and vegetables. Vietnam’s goal of ranking among the top five global fruit exporters next year is within reach, said Dang Phuc Nguyen, Secretary General of the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association.
Beyond the agricultural sector, textile and garment exports are another highlight. Export turnover is projected to reach 44 billion this year, up 11% from 2023. With this result, Vietnam’s textile and garment industry will overtake Bangladesh to reclaim the position of the world’s second-largest exporter, behind India in export surplus. The sector is expected to see even greater prospects in 2025 when major markets like the US and EU recover and consumer spending improves.
