(VOVworld) – Various cultural and artistic activities are being held around Vietnam to celebrate the upcoming 12th National Party Congress scheduled for next week in Hanoi. Vietnam’s stage performance festival opened on Tuesday in Hanoi to mark the occasion. Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Vuong Duy Bien spoke at the event: "The festival sees the participation of 10 national and local art troupes performing stage dramas of various genres, including traditional theatres and plays. Each work presents various aspects of the modern life and promptly reflects pressing social issues."

A painting exhibition entitled “Colors of Hanoi” also opened on Tuesday in Hanoi to mark the event. 60 paintings on display feature topics on nature, landscape, and people in daily life in Vietnam. The exhibition will run until January 25th.
