(VOVworld)- The Prime Minister has approved a project to make Vietnamese rice better known to the world. Under the project, Vietnamese rice is expected to become a world leading trade mark for high quality and food safety by 2030. The project aims to increase added values, market share and competitiveness of Vietnamese rice products around the world. By 2020, Vietnam plans to export rice to at least 20 countries, the national rice trade mark will be protected in 50 countries and at least 20% of rice exports are labeled with Vietnamese trade mark. By 2030, Vietnam aims to develop stable rice production regions to bring Vietnamese rice trade mark a leading one in the world in quality and food safety and 50% of rice exports are labeled with Vietnamese trade mark.
