ASEAN Family Day celebrated in New York

(VOVworld) - Representatives of the permanent missions of ASEAN countries to the United Nations celebrated “ASEAN Family Day” in New York on Sunday.

Held annually, the event promotes solidarity and mutual support among the missions. Arts performances, games, and a sampling of traditional cuisines from all the member nations were included in the celebration. Traditional Vietnamese dishes like nem (fried spring rolls), xôi (steamed glutinous rice), and stir-fried vermicelli proved popular with the visitors.
