Hai Phong Port ranks 29th globally, with a cargo throughput of nearly 7.1 million TEUs.
Cargo volume through Hai Phong port has grown 12-15% annually in recent years. In the first 8 months of 2025, the port handled more than 120 million tons of goods, up more than 12% compared to the same period last year.
Chairman Robert Uggla of Maersk and APM Terminals said with advanced technology, sustainable design, and its capacity to handle some of the world’s largest vessels, Hai Phong will become an important global trade hub. Its strategic location, modern port infrastructure, and integration of all 5 modes of transportation will help Hai Phong attract international logistics companies and expand maritime transport network while enhancing Vietnam’s national competitiveness.
