Developing nuclear energy applications, he noted, must be treated as a long-term strategic goal, requiring foresight, perseverance, and a holistic approach, from institutions and technological infrastructure to human resources. Nuclear energy should be considered a crucial, strategic objective for socio-economic development, national defense and security. At the same time, it contributes to elevating Vietnam’s international standing. Nuclear power development, he underscored, must guarantee absolute safety for people and the environment, in strict compliance with the guidelines of international nuclear energy agencies.
