2 other governors being rated “A+” are US Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell and Denmark's Central Bank Governor Christian Kettel Thomsen.
The report, published annually since 1994 by US-based financial magazine Global Finance, evaluates central bank governors from nearly 100 countries, territories, and key regions.
Last year, Ms. Hong was among 7 governors rated “A” by Global Finance. In 2023, she was rated “A+” in recognition of her achievements in controlling inflation, achieving economic growth targets, stabilizing exchange rates, and managing interest interests.
