In the reviewed period, Vietnam exported 166,510 tonnes of pepper of all types, worth over 1.12 billion USD. The US remained the largest buyer of the Vietnamese spice, accounting for 21.4%. Exports to China rose sharply by 58% year-on-year to 13,282 tonnes, while sales to the United Arab Emirates and India expanded 9.7% and 13.7%, respectively.
By the end of August, Vietnam exported more than 83,000 tons of cinnamon, earning over 210 million USD. Compared to the same period in 2024, export volume rose nearly 19%, while export value increased 32%. Vietnam’s top cinnamon export markets include India, the United States, and Bangladesh.
