(VOvworld) – An exhibition entitled “Vietnam’s Hoang Sa-Truong Sa, historical evidence” will open in Ho Chi Minh city next Thursday.

The exhibition will feature 150 maps of Vietnam, China, and western nations as well as a number of items and publications mentioning Vietnam’s sovereignty over the two archipelagos. The exhibits cover the period from the early 17th century to the late 19th century, when Vietnam peacefully exercised its complete sovereignty over the Truong Sa and Hoang Sa archipelagos. Worthy of note are copies of documents issued by Vietnamese feudal regimes from the 17th to the 20th centuries in Chinese, Chinese transcribed Vietnamese, Vietnamese, and French languages, and four Atlases published by China between 1908 and 1933.
