At the meeting, both sides acknowledged the positive progress in the Vietnam-China relations in recent times and agreed to maintain high-level exchanges and enhance cooperation via the Party channel and between the governments, parliaments, and fronts of Vietnam and China.
Vietnam and China discussed openly maritime issues, reaffirming their commitment to fully implement shared agreements, effectively manage disagreements, and uphold peace and stability in the East Sea.
On the occasion, both nations signed an agreement to collaborate on constructing three standard gauge railway lines.
On the same day, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son joined China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi at a ceremony commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Border Treaty and the 15th anniversary of three legal documents on the Vietnam-China land border.
The two leaders visited a photo exhibition showcasing the Vietnam-China land border demarcation and marker planting efforts, underscoring progress in bilateral relations.
