Themed "Vietnam and the US: 50 Years of Peace and Reconciliation", the workshop discussed peace and reconciliation as well as legacies of war.
As the keynote speaker, Vietnamese Ambassador to the US Nguyen Quoc Dung shared the driving forces that transformed the two countries from former foes to partners, friends and now Comprehensive Strategic Partners, as well as the core values that have supported this path and future directions. The Ambassador expressed his belief that the Vietnam-US relationship will continue to develop.
In the panel discussions, the speakers gave an insight into the Vietnam-US relationship and measures to overcome and resolve the consequences of war.
